The heat is finally cooling off. After an eventful and life changing summer, we finally say goodbye to the summer sunsets. This Rancho Solano. I spent some time here growing up with my family. This is the last time I will ever see it. This was Uncle John's property. We spent so many summers out in the country go carting, sliding down water slides, playing hide and seek in the dark, you name it. Uncle John was in the process of selling this land before he died. Now that he has been gone for a month, the process is finally complete. I wanted to take some pictures to remember this place and the memories we made as kids. I will never forget the parties and the orange dream popsicles melting with the summer heat. Watching Cartoon Network on the big screen tv. Thanksgivings and Christmas's.. all of it. I even got in a relationship with my Uncle's neighbor. This person was the inspiration behind my song "September". This place was a huge part of my young life. As I got older I stopped coming here. When I moved to LA, I didn't really see any of that side of my family. Only when he passed away I started seeing my family more. There are certain places that leave a mark on your life. Rancho Camacho was one of them. It is very fitting that I am saying goodbye to this place that played such an important part in my upbringing. I am so fortunate that I got to reconnect with my family this past summer. Not under the best circumstances, but at lest I have them back in my life. Especially my godbrothers Zach and Braden. I missed them a lot, more than I would like to admit. Now I feel like another chapter is ending. Summer 2014 was not what I expected. It was bittersweet, but I think we all know as much as we don't want to let go, it is time to let go of this part of our lives.
Farewell Rancho Camacho, Farewell Summer 2014.
