START OF BOOK 1: CHAPTER 2
It’s been a month since I’ve been gone from here. My surgery went well but I’m still healing, I’m not done. But I have decided to come back to work slowly. I’m not back to my full capacity yet, I don’t know when I will be. It’s funny how it’s Easter today and god rises and in a way so have I. I’m so lucky to have my vision back after a successful surgery. I do realize I could have been blind. Not a day goes by that I don’t think how blessed I am that I can see again. Even though I can see, I am well aware I am not fully healed yet. It’s going to take some time and I’m fine with that. The surgery ended up being pretty difficult. I took it pretty hard too. I broke down before I went in and I broke down afterwards. I'm fortunate that my doctor has been so good to me and has held my hand every step of the way. As I slowly get back to work, I realize it is time for me to Rise Up and take this experience and let it drive my soul as my album prepares to be released next month. It is kinda meta that today is Easter right? Jesus rises up and I guess I have to as well.
